Summer Art Club with Max

Come create your own art piece in this summer series with Max! Learn about a different artist each week and use them as your inspiration! Take home a mini sketchbook to keep working on your ideas. With your permission, Max will take a photo of your piece to be displayed at the end of the summer!

All materials provided.

About Max: When he isn’t working as the Book Buyer, you can find him making art of all kinds or hanging out with his two cats and fiancée!

What to expect each week this summer:

6/4 – Make your own block print inspired by Japanese ukiyo-e wood cut prints! All materials provided.

6/11 – Paint your own still-life in the Impressionist style of Van Gogh! All materials provided.

6/18 – Paint your own self-portrait like the great artist Frida Kahlo! All materials provided.

6/25 – Create your own automatic drawing like the abstract artist Hilma af Klimt, along with a larger group piece! All materials provided.

7/2 – Create your own pop art painting inspired by artist Yayoi Kusama! All materials provided.

7/9 – Paint a figure in the cubist style of Picasso! All materials provided.

7/16 – Create your own surrealist drawing inspired by Salvador Dali! All materials provided.

7/23 – Create your own painting inspired by Harlem Renaissance artist Aaron Douglas! All materials provided.
